Do you guys remember the American version of a K-Pop group, Heart2Heart? They uploaded the full version of their song, “Facebook Official” today.
The group name “Heart2Heart” stands for the connection they would like to have with their fans across the world. The members are Chad Future (who is the leader), Nico, Pretty Boi Pete, Brayden, and KX. The music video was directed by leader Chad Future and David Lehre. The choreography was done by member KX, and this group is managed by Lance Bass of N*SYNC. It also features Blair Fowler, also known as juicystar07 (the most subscribed makeup guru in Youtube), as the heroine.
In the teaser, the group was being criticized for copying Teen Top’s “Supa Luv,” and 4minute’s font and song title as their group name. Although they were receiving a lot of hate, they stuck through and today, the new music video was released.
They have been criticized by K-Pop fans for tagging the video with the following words : 2NE1, BIGBANG, K-Pop, Super Junior, TVXQ, SHINee, B1A4, KARA, and JYJ, in their video.
Disapprovers of the video have commented saying, “Please remove the K-POP tags,” “They ripped off of other K-POP Groups,” “The lyrics and the choreography are lacking,” “The song is horrible,” and “Dear Heart2Heart Boys, please try something else… not Kpop.” The groups that they strongly resemble are Teen Top and 4Minute. The choreography and the video background almost exactly look like Teen Top’s dance version of Supa Luv. Their font and group name are also criticized to resemble 4Minute. This isn’t cool.”
However, they do have some supporters that commented, “I don’t see how they’re copying K-pop! They’re American, they’re singing, they’re dancing. I like it, this is American Pop,” “Yay! This is American Boyband ‘Comeback,’ but I think the music should be better,” and “Aww this video is great! Good job guys, you guys are great!”
Some of the commenters are not taking a side by saying, “Are you guys absolutely sure this isn't a parody group?,” “They need to work on their vocals and choreography. They also need more casual hair and less caked makeup. Otherwise, I see some possibility!”, “It was a bad decision to tag this video with k-pop bands..their fandoms are coming!”
What do you think about this video? Do you think they'll become big, or no?
